Senior Lecturer Department of Environmental Management University Kebangsaan Malaysia
Abas is a Senior Lecturer of Environmental Management at the Faculty of Social Science and Humnanities, UKM. He Graduated in Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Master of Environmental Management from the same university. He completed his Ph.D. at Environmental Management Programme from UKM. His main research work includes the ecological indicator, witch mainly focuses on lichen as the biological indicator. He also works on the Lichen ecology in Malaysia and the development of Ecosystem Services Index. At the national level, his research group has worked closely with government agencies such as Department of Environment, Malaysia and he has received international collaboration from many institutions such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Indonesian Institute of Sciences and Australian national Botanic Gardens.
Associate Professor School of Social Sciences Monash University Australia
Is a medical anthropologist and interdisciplinary health social scientist interested in the experiences of ageing, chronic conditions, and care for structurally vulnerable communities. Her research adopts a comparative methodological approach to explore the relationship between chronic health conditions and practices o care in people’s local moral worlds. In particular, She interested in how - in contexts of chronicity - people work/act to achieve a good life. Her work is interdisciplinary and collaborative: I work across academia, community, health and government organizations to inform policy development. Her research spans a range of area and disciplines including global public health, health services research, rehabilitation, disability studies, neuropsychology, and critical social psychology.
Associate Professor Department of Social Sciences College of Humanites and Education Fiji National University Fiji Island
Is an Assistance Professor at Department of Social Scences, College of Humanities and Education, Fiji National University. His expertise lies in understanding the Principles and theories of human geography, the environment and sustainable development. His research was based on the issues of climate change and the role of education in bringing about climate change awareness. and action at university level. Some of his research has penetrated reputable international journals. He is an active academic who received funding from the internal funding project (SEED FUNDING) by FNU on climate change education, become Membership of the Editorial Board of the Social Science Education Journal Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic University, Indonesia and Reviewer of Peer Reviewed Journal of Social Science Education Journal.
Emeritus Professor Busan University of Foreign Studies South Korea
Is a Lecturer/Asst. Professor/Assoc. Professor/Full Professor/Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies/Dean of Graduate School, Busan Univ. of Foreign Studies. South Korea (1985-2015). He continues his service until now as professor emeritus. His career was divided into two paths. The first is related to academics, such as President of Daegu Univ. of Foreign Studies, South Korea (2015-2017), Chairman of Advisory Council for Ministry of Forestry (2016-2018), Vice Chairman, Korea University Presidents' Association (2016-pesent), and Visiting Professor, Dept. of Int'l Relations, University of Indonesia (Feb. 2022-present). Second, bureaucratic and policy channels. He become a liaison person with several countries in the Asia Pacific such as Ambassador of Korea to Timor Leste (2008-2009, Representative of the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia in South Korea (2012-2016), Secretary General Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia-Pacific Cities (2018-2021). His relationship is very close to Indonesia because not only did he study literature and culture, he also founded the Busan Indonesia Center, a building which is a center of knowledge about Indonesia for Korean people
